Easter, After Dinner

I enjoyed my Easter feast of pork baby-back ribs and french fries at the Renaissance Hotel.  Rachel and I went for the buffet and found Art and Julia there when we arrived about noon.  They had been there since 10AM when the buffet was to begin.   It was still not open at noon.  Art and Julia had defaulted to the regular menu and ordered the ribs which arrived minutes after we joined them.  I ordered the same and Rachel got salmon.  Our orders came before Julia was finished with her meal and we chatted and heard adventure stories they had from all their travels.  Then Rachel ordered cheesecake, Art and Julia split a Chocolate Lave Cake with Vanilla Ice Cream and I got one, too.  I shared with Rachel because it was so tempting looking and she could see how much we were enjoying ours.

When we left, I shot a picture of the Hudsons and one of Rachel.  Then this guy runs out of the lobby and insists I delete the picture--no photos allowed---Why? Who knows----he watched me delete the one of Rachel, but I did not delete the one before it--stupid political rules!

He seemed to have no problem with me taking a picture of the dandelions blooming on the bank seaward of the entrance.

Mimi sent pictures of Kenny's trophy fish; it's a Springer Salmon.

Dinara has taken her first TOEFL test in Almaty.  She will be back in Aktau the evening of the 25th.

John celebrated Christmas in Punxsy on Friday.  He had Christmas dinner with Gram Shriver, my parents, Uncle Glenn, and his Aunt Becky and Uncle Ray in Cowansville.  He went to visit Cory and celebrated New Year's Eve with friends.

                            Gram

The oxygen is needed now; but, Gram still knows everyone.  She claims she does not have any pain.  Her ability to tell day from night is weak.   Her routine is still keeping her going.

This VVV is my favorite shot of Gram.  It was taken only 3 or 4 years ago.
